At Sea En Route To Belem, Brazil

Nothing exciting. Bobbi played Mahjong this morning and in the afternoon. I had the hard job of listening to the Bears game. I get it over the internet live from WBBM AM 780 in Chicago. They could not pick it up on the ship TV. Oh yeah, the BEARS won. The Eagles lost.

We had the first cocktail party given by Virtuoso. That is a group my travel agent / slave Vicki of Palm Travel in Miami, 305-944-4000 ext. 164, belongs to. She likes it when I include these advertisements. It helps to keep her from trashing my house and having parties there. Virtuoso gives passengers from travel agents who are members several parties on the ship and on shore and several events ashore. It was announced that the first would be in Rio. A tour and dinner with a private Carnival Celebration.

When we went into our room after dinner there were two boxes and an explanation paper. This was to be the first of six gifts they are going to give full world cruise guests. Inside was an insulated pouch with a belt that holds a water bottle. One for each of us. I was rather disappointed. I had been hoping for a 456 Magnum Elephant hunting rifle with scope. Oh well. Maybe that will be the next one.
