AT SEA EN ROUTE TO LAEM CHABANG, THAILAND DAY II

About the only thing unusual today was the way they tried to kill us with the food. We were trying to be good and maybe loose a few pounds.

At lunch time we went down to the main restaurant and looked at the menu. We try to go there because then you only eat what you order rather then at the grill or indoor or outdoor buffets. At those, you are tempted to try far too many things. Finding nothing great on that menu, we did go up to the buffets.

And you know what those nasty suckers had? Chinese appetizer buffet. About twenty different kinds of Dim Sum, noodles, spring rolls, small wraps, and shrimp fried with some kind of crunchy stuff. I can never pass that kind of food. All my favorites and they were all wonderful.

We had a cocktail party at 6:00 in the evening, given by Virtuoso. That meant hot and cold Hors D’Oeuvres along with the drinks of your choosing.

We had reservations at Latitudes at 7:00 PM. We did make it by a couple of minutes after. They were even later. They didn’t open the doors until I started to get loud. Inside the decoration and costumes were authentic. Much better then they had done last year. Then they started to bring out trays of food. They had three Indian cooks and a lady supervising that writes Indian cook books. The food was fantastic and we couldn’t stop eating even though we were full before we started.

They stamped hour hands and put dots on our heads as we walked in. After everyone had ordered they did an Indian dance. Since the food was quite authentic, I am sure there were many that didn’t like it. We love to try new things and these were very, very different. We will be back before it changes back to a Indo China restaurant.

We are scheduled to leave early tomorrow morning and stay overnight at the Four Seasons Hotel in Bangkok. You will not hear from us for a day or two.
