AT SEA EN ROUTE TO MOMBASA, KENYA
Today was mostly spent resting up from yesterday and the day before.Bobbi always wished to see Africa, the native people, and go on a safari. She is very happy with what we have seen and done thus far.
This evening we were invited to have dinner with the chief engineer. He had to cancel due to something that Bobbi can’t
remember due to the heavy drinking of Aqua Vit. Instead we were invited to have dinner with the staff captain. That’s the second in command. We had dinner with the last staff captain but they put on a new one at the start of the world cruise on January ninth. This one is a young fellow from Sweden. The captain and the hotel director were at tables near by. They are all from Norway and the Scandinavia area. Friends were at both their tables. The captain has Norwegian liquor he likes called Aqua Vit. They were passing it around among the three tables. I have no 
idea who is driving the ship. Bobbi likes the stuff after a few glasses of wine. Actually I’ve had paint thinner that tastes better. Much like the Russians, with their strong 150 proof vodka, they quickly swallow down shots of this turpentine. Then everybody gets very silly and loud. Then I need to call a taxi to get Bobbi back to the room.
